Since the advent of COVID-19, we have been accepting teletherapy appointments only, and for the short term we will continue to provide services remotely. We hope to resume taking in-person appointments in the very near future.

Our secure, HIPAA compliant application (Doxy.me) is similar to Skype or Zoom and very easy to use. All you have to do is click on a link, enter your name, and we're good to go. There is nothing to install and no tech knowledge required--you only need a camera and microphone on your device (phone, computer, laptop, etc.).

We are also available for phone sessions if you prefer.

To make an appointment, call us and leave a message at 561-742-7122 or request an appointment online at this link. We usually respond to appointment requests the same day.

ADHD OR JUST NORMAL KID BEHAVIOR?

We hear a lot about attention and hyperactivity problems in children these days. Sometimes this behavior is normal and age appropriate. But as many as one in four children may have a real, physiological condition referred to as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This condition has nothing to do with intelligence; many very bright kids have difficulty focusing and controlling their impulses due to this very specific brain difference. Difficulty following multi-step instructions, remembering daily routines, paying attention when a task is boring or difficult, avoidance of homework and forgetting to turn it in, as well as excessive physical activity and impulsive behavior may be signs of ADHD. But how do you know for sure?

It's not enough that a teacher or family member thinks your child may have ADHD. Standardized, scientifically based testing methods are necessary to make a definitive diagnosis. For more information about our Focused ADHD Screening, visit the AD/HD Diagnosis and Treatment section of our website or give us a call or email. We will be happy to explain our process and answer your questions.

    IS MY CHILD GIFTED?

If your child is quite expressive, unusually curious, has an advanced vocabulary, is particularly good with mathematical concepts, asks thought provoking questions, has a wide range of interests, and seems to understand advanced concepts, she/he may be considered "gifted". Teachers and other school faculty may recognize exceptional traits in your child and recommend they be considered for a gifted curriculum. A Gifted Education Program is one that challenges qualified students through innovative teaching methods and enriched content.
