Insurance Coverage
Coverage for mental health and psychological services is different with each health insurance policy.
If you are uncertain about whether you have coverage, or what your benefits are, we can usually help you find
answers to those questions.
When calling the office with insurance questions, please have the information on your insurance card available. Here is some
of the information we will need from you in order to research your benefits and coverage:
- Your insurance policy ID number
- The name of your insurance company and plan
- The name of the primary insured
- The name of the prospective patient
- The prospective patient's date of birth
- The patient's ID and/or SS number
- Insurance company contact information
- Your address and telephone number
Provider Network Participation
The providers in our office each particpate in different insurance company provider networks. When you see a provider who
participates in your insurance company's preferred provider network, you typically have a reduced or no deductible and pay
only a pre-determined co-payment at the time of each visit.
To determine which providers in our group participate in your plan, please give us a call.
Some of the networks we participate in are listed below:
- Aetna
- Avmed
- Beechstreet
- Cigna
- Champus - Tricare
- CompPsych
- Coventry/First Health
- Humana
- United Healthcare (United Behavioral Health - UBH)
- Medicare
- PHCS
- PsychCare
- Univ Miami Behavioral Health (UMBH)
- Wellcare/Humana
Blue Cross/Blue Shield (BCBS)
We serve many clients who are BCBS subscribers, however, we do not currently participate in the BCBS provider network. BCBS typically pays for a portion of our services after you have met your deductible. To learn more about
our discounts to BCBS subscribers, and what your BCBS coverage and copayments will be, please gives us a call. From the information on your insurance ID card, we can research your policy and answer your questions about coverage and fees.
Out of Network Coverage
In the event the provider in our group you want to see does not participate in your insurance network,
we can determine what coverage you may have for out of network services. Many insurance companies cover services provided by out of network clinicians. We typically discount our standard fees for out
of network services.
Private Pay
We are happy to work with patients/clients who do not have insurance coverage and/or who prefer to pay privately.
Please inquire about the considerations we offer for private payment.
Fees and Payment
Our fees are typical of that for mental health and psychological services in the south Florida region.
If you require special accommodations regarding our fee structure or payment, we will be glad to discuss
your needs. Special arrangements are considered on an individual basis.
Forms of payment: We accept checks, cash, Master Card, and Visa. Payment is expected at
the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
